we have recently focused on setting up a complete flotation line for beneficiation of local minerals and feldspar. Feldspar with a high percentage of potash is nowadays a major commodity in ceramic and china ware industries. At the moment, huge amounts are imported form India. We hope to be able to reduce the imports by accomplishing our flotation project. Whereby we will be able to achieve a very good and purified feldspar with good content of potash.
Washing and flotation systems are now being installed and will be ready for production in the next 4 months . Flotation is with no doubt a very efficient method in mineral processing . In this method , the variation in chemical and physical properties of materials help to separate impurities . At first the mineral is crushed into small size particles , then it is suspended in water and impurities or unwanted material are separated by adherence to air bulbs .
These are then floated away in the form of pulps using proper chemical substances.
